so much hair

This little fella was born with a full head of jet black hair! Not only that but he also has a face full of personality. Some newborns are born looking so much like every other newborn with a bald head, their eyes closed, and their little tiny bodies. However, this little guy looks as if he might open his mouth and some words of wisdom will be spoken. He was exceptionally good for our session (well, except when daddy was holding him and baby W. couldn't hold himself any longer, if you know what I mean!) and it was a pleasure working with he, his mommy and his daddy.

itty bitty little t.

C

These shoes set the tone for the day- they are precious, teeny tiny, and have their own little snazzy personality- just like baby T. This mommy is good friends with one of my very very favorite clients so I immediately connected with her and felt like I knew her forever. The mommy said, "Aren't his lips just wonderful? I just cannot stop kissing him." I hear things like this often from my first time mommies but seldom from my "experienced" mommies. There is nothing more special then a first child and I think when additional children arrive, often mom is just too tired to really savor all the moments. However, this mom is taking each moment in and loving baby number two!

due very soon

Saturday was so much fun! I actually spent the morning over at

Due Maternity in Vinings photographing some beautiful mommies-to-be! The girls were all so easy to work with and I loved getting to hear each of them tell about their soon-to-arrive little ones. Two of the mommies were on bed rest and spent their little bit of alloted "out of the bed time" with me. I was flattered and I can't wait to meet all the itty bitty babies as they arrive!

sweet siblings!

SThese little ones were so different and both so fun. The little girl was all about the modeling and posing and she loved having her picture made. The little boy was not even a little into the photography and would have rather been doing just about anything. However, they were both very cooperative and so sweet with one another.

the challenging age

This darling baby was a challenge to photograph. She is certainly beautiful and photogenic but she did not want to sit, stand still, or be held by anyone. Mind of her own I tell you. Luckily, I know, and the parents know, it is a stage, it's just the age. I would have to say, in my photographer opinion,  that when a child starts walking until about two is the most challenging age for me to photograph. Often, trying to contain the child is the only option. :) Thus, the reason you see carriages, baskets, and chairs often used for this age. Containment is a beautiful thing! It is the zeal of life and the wonder of the world that make this age so special.

and it is a girl!

WhooHoo!!! Two boys and a girl might be the perfect family (well I think so but of course that happens to be the make up of my family!). This family was so darling. As you can see, the boys were not too bored while mom and I were spending all our time and attention with baby K. The feet picture is one of my favorite images I have ever taken... look at little K.'s PERFECT little, squishy feet!!!!

Bring on the Boys

Three of them!!!!! I seem to have had several families lately with three boys. I have said before that three is certainly the new two when it come to the number of children families are having. These three boys are so fun and active and sweet. Each child had a very distinct personality and I had such fun getting to know each of them!

an adult break

Do you notice how happy this mommy and daddy are? It is because they were preparing to have an adult break for several days. The day after this session, they hopped on a plane and took off for the beach... just the two of them. As moms and dads we all know how awesome it is to have children and also how much work it is! So, I greatly admire families that rank taking care of their marriage more highly then taking care of the children. After all, if we do not take care of our marriage then what will our children have down the road. This family is always a delight to work with. I loved having the opportunity to meet L.'s mom and dad who were in town to play with the grandchildren for a few days! P. parents- I hope you had the greatest time at the beach!!!

four generations

How many of us are lucky enough to have four generations in our families? I am not but watching this family made me really wish my children could have met and known my grandparents. This family is so loving and what lucky little children to grow up being loved and adored by so many family members!
